  • Hi there. We booked for a family of four- 2 adults + 2 children to go to Bruge on the 14-17 April. We are going by P&O ferry from Dover to Calais and staying at a B&B in Bruge near the city centre. All together, total at the moment is £275. £65 for P&O ferry (thanks to webchimp_2005 for the superb link via saga/driveline)then booked a family room with a kitchenette for 300 Euros (appx £210)for 3 nights with breakfast! Sure we have food and excursions to pay yet but so far so good!

    BTW- webchimp's link is:

The offer is only until end of March and travel is before end of June.

Bigfoot-loads of info for you on a date that is SOON!

    Why no feedback/thanks/comments?

Nyself/Sloppy/sava & all others do put time and effort in to help people.

This is why i am posting less & less on here. A good proportion of MSE'RS (not all i stress!) just ask for info & no feedback/comments.

I answer as much as I can whilst at work....sava/sloppy put in a lot of effort too. WHY BOTHER??!

Travelman, you aren't obliged to use the thank button, and the poster did say thank you. I have PM'd you in the past having advertised that you are happy to quote people and never heard a reply, so it is swings and roundabouts!

I thank where I can, but sometimes with a screaming toddler hanging off a knee on most occasions, I can just about click on the link and look at the answers I get to my questions. I agree it is nice to be thanked, but that shouldn't be the reason for posting replies, it should be out of the satisfaction of helping others.
  • Why not book a cottage, there are so many in the UK. That way you can get the kids to bed and watch tv etc, plus you have the bonus of either eating out or in depending on what you fancy.

With a little time searching through the internet looking at the tourist websites for the particular area you are interested in I am sure there will be some available. I have booked up to go to Tenby for next week and I only booked up a few weeks in advance, so I am sure there will be plenty of availability.
  • I'm not having a good day....(!!!) Sorry-my message seemed a bit harsh-it's just that info on lates changes within hours!

I've lost a group booking for 5/5 because people hung around....cue them saying it's my fauult etc....it's just that with lates you have to move fast! Sorry...need beer!
