Complaining to banks

Hi,
The Halifax made a big balls up and my statements have been going to someone else's house.
I am writing a letter to complain about this. I was just wondering whether I can demand anything. If, for example, I complain to Tesco, I would demand a voucher. So can I demand anything from the Halifax?
Thanks

Are you out of pocket? Have you lost anything? If so, then I would ask for that figure as a basis. If you have been dramatically inconvenienced, then I would try to estimate how much that is worth e.g one hour on the phone trying to sort it out would be worth the cost of the phone-call plus a nominal amount (rounding up the phone bill to the next £5) for your time.
You don't say how long this has been happening, but given that you wrote 'statements' plural it suggests that this has been going on for a while which means that either you hadn't noticed, or that it has been a matter which has taken ages to resolve. If it has been dragging on and making life difficult, I would suggest adding an amount (I would go with £25) for the inconvenience of having to faff about with them. If it is the former, then I wouldn't bother asking for compensation at all.0
