I am a FTB and buying a property in Bromley, Kent. Could someone recommend me a good solicitor.
I've done some searches and seen that price wise Tinklin Springall Solicitors are cheapest as they say they don't charge for activities like:
· acting for the Lender on your mortgage
· telephone calls, postage, petty incidentals, photocopying
· a contribution to professional indemnity insurance
· preparing and filing the stamp duty land tax return
which other local solicitors seem to be charging a hefty amount. Does anyone have any experience with these chaps? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

We used Tinklin Springall a couple of years ago when we bought our property. As far as I can recall, the process was fairly trouble free and we didn't have to chase them up too many times.Martin0

The large firms Bachelors, Judge & Priestley, Thackray Williams will charge around £800.
However, unless you need advise on trusts/wills/etc, for straight conveyancing I'd probably use a cheaper online firm not in Bromley. You can get quotes and see the reviews here: http://www.web-conveyancing.co.uk/purchase_quote.asp0
