I've heard that people at car boot sales will buy any old rubbish? Is this true?
Got loads of junk etc in my attic and was wondering if it was worth bothering?

What sort of junk have you got?

Yes you would be surprised at what some people buy - but they won't buy something horrible or garish just because it only costs 50p etc. I would love to hear what you have though, as I might be able to help to see if the items would sell.
I'll just add that electrical items unless proven working don't tend to sell well, especially old televisions.0 -
I think it depends what your selling, i am always shocked when i do a boot sale as its always the crap that sells first and i'm left with the better more expensive items to take back home. People seem to buy most things (crap) if it's priced low enough.0

Anything will sell at the right price and at the right boot sale.
It just depends how far you wnat to travel to one of the big busy sites, and how little you are willing to accept for your stuff.
It's been years since I've stood in a field at the back of car on a sunday morning (I prefer blasting past fields in a car on a sunday morning these days!), but from what I still hear and read on here, people will still offer stupidly low prices for items. I had a 1 year old flymo offered at £5 - good value by any stretch, and some cheeky scutter offered me 50p....<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
You can sell practically anything - I too am amazed at the rubbish people buy. Just state your price and if they are interested they will haggle, if not they will walk away. Dealers will come early so a bit later on you can reduce your price if it hasn't gone already. And as jackiebkr2 says, look out for the people who act like real buyers and are not. They will try the "it's for charity", "it's for the local playgroup/hospital/disabled aunt/mother/hubby etc". Good luck.0
