Argos Delivery service

Hi,
I ordered a bed from Argos 5 weeks ago and was told it would be delivered within 35 days. Today they have called to say it could be a further 4 weeks before it arrives.

I would like to complain to them about this and want to know whether they are obliged to deliver the item within the 5 weeks or whether they can drag this out again?
Any advice appreciated

Thanks

Kerry

In my experience they can deliver whenever they feel like it.

Plus if they say they are coming and you say "No, I'm not here that day" then they will give 'your' bed that you already paid for to someone else and you have to wait until they get another one in!

If you need it fast - get a refund and source it elsewhere. If the bed is cheap/not available elsewhere or whatever then you'll just have to put up with it unfortunately.

Based on my experience I wouldn't use Argos again for furniture especially a bed because both I and others have ended up sleeping on the floor after arranging for old bed to be collected and then being let down by Argos.

    Hope your experience is different!

PS Not worth complaining - you'll just get some customer service muppet who will make it VERY obvious that they can't do anything about it and basically don't give a ****!

That is exactly what i got-a muppet who told me nothing can be done!
I just think it is unfair that they can take as long as they like to deliver items.

It seems unfair, but how can they deliver something they don't have.

You have the right to cancel the order at any time, so I would suggest you do so.
