looking for quatation

Hello,

I had water escape in my kitchen. to stop that we had to make access by removing plaster, tiles and some bricks. it has also caused some damage to kitchen and living room. I called insurance company and they have told me to get my own builder. I have to send two different quotations and once they approve that work can be started. I don't know any builder that can do renovation and other do building work. I don't want to go for different places to get this work done. I can find people on Yell but not sure how reliable they are.

I know homeserve has started one contact to do all jobs. I have called them to get quotation. can any one suggest me some other company that can arrange all work and give me quotation?

also need carpet replacing but insurance company doesn't cover that. what's best way to get carpet replacement? shall I get content insurance that can be expensive.

You can't get insurance to cover something that's already happened.
So you will have to pay fo your own carpet replacement.
Consider a repair or a rug.
There may be other alternatives to replacement.

An insurer would not just pay for replacement if a decent repair can be done.

Personally I would recommend you avoid Homeserve as they are either good or very bad.

Do you not have any friends who can recommend a local builder as recommendation is one of the best ways of sourcing a builder.
