Computers For Schools Vouchers

Hi,
Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on this.....
Tesco's are offering 1 C.F.S's voucher for every £10 spent, and you need to collect approx 12,000 vouchers to get a computer. Bearing in mind the millions Tesco make, there must be thousands of computers available to schools.
Just wondered if anyone has any bright ideas how to get people to collect vouchers and donate them to the schools? Or have a 'bank' system where people can deposit them, then share them out evenly? (Am thinking out loud here!)
For example...My DD's school only has 38 pupils, so collecting vouchers is more or less a waste of time there. My DS's has 380 pupils, and I think they've been able to get a football or two in the past! It seems that most schools are missing out because their numbers are too low.
Would be interested to find out any ideas you may have!
Regards,
Hels

Women marry men hoping they will change, men marry women hoping they won't! Inevitably they will both be disappointed.

Nearly all of the shops near me have the large margarine/ice cream tubs with slits cut in them on the counters asking for people to donate their vouchers to the local school.
The one in the post office seems the most popular - there are always loads in them!
Also, just a thought, are you able to ask the local Tescos to donate those vouchers that aren't taken by their customers to your school?0 -

From what I've seen yes, but it'll be on a store by store basis. The one by me collects them for the local primary school so it can be done.

if you use the tesco express you get 1 voucher for every £5.00 instead of the £10.00 , every little helps
also if the schools dont get them in quick enough they can be carried on to the following year, thus mabye getting enough for something( on the back of voucher)0 -
I work ofr a local council and we havea box in the main reception for donations from staff and public that may not have children, these vouchers then get distributed to schoolsWeight loss since 01/08/07 - 72 lbs:j0

Our local church collects them for our school, perhaps you could try there.0

I work in a primary of 400 pupils. Last year we got 50,000 vouchers!! We got three computers, and loads of other stuff. I think grandparents and neighbours are asked by our kids. The local Tesco lets every local school have a week in the store to collect unused vouchers, so ask at your local store.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Thanks to all for your ideas....we already have tupperware boxes in situ at various points in the town - post office, shops etc. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on a national level, or am I being too ambitious here?
Cant help but feel we are all missing a trick?
Will ask our local branch about donating what they have left....
Once again many thanks,
