Welcome have replied - advice needed please

Welcome have sent me out another questionairre as I sent the last one back incompleted stating they should have known my circumstances at the time of giving me my loans.

They have said in the letter that if the questionairre is not received they will not be able to respond to me. It states that they cant accept my complaint at this stage as they do not have sufficient details from me. It states that I can facilitate this by answering the questionaiire to enable them to take full account of my exact complaint and my own recollections of the sale. They will then consider this with their own evidence and let me know there final decision.

The questions are im not sure how to answer are:-

When did I first become aware I had a complaint? How should I answer that?

What do you remember from the time you took out the policy? I believe the staff said I had to take it out to get the loan.

What documentation were you given when you took out the policy? As far as I can remeber as I dont have it now they just gave me the credit agreement.

Please provide details about your job at the time you took out the policy and also any other PPI policies you have had in the past? How is this even relevant?

Is there any other information you wish to tell us about the complaint?

Your help would be appreciated as I dont want to put the wrong thing and they win!!

Thanks

They need to make sure that it is not time barred. e.g. you realised you were miss sold 8 years ago but only just got round to complaining.

If the staff advised you take out the Loan then put that in the Form

As for the forms you were given just be truthful if the agreement was the only form you believe you were given then state that in the form.

They want to make sure that you did not have a job which had good support if you were off sick etc e.g. NHS and government offices. Also that you were working more than 16 hours per week. (so that you would be covered on the policy). Also if you had other policies this could be taken either way. firstly that you took out others so knew what you were doing or secondly that you had enough cover already.

Hope that makes sense. Good Luck

If you only just became aware that this was missold (because of the media attention into this) to you then that is the date here.

    Hi there

They all seem to be sending these questionaires as a standard procedure now, however many will say its a stalling tactic, but sometimes they may require more information, so if you complete this, as it seems like they have not given you the option, is to answer to the best of knowledge of what you can remember about the sale of the policy.

In your first question, basically they just want to know when you became aware you had a complaint, now with me its because I read in the media, then checked documents, then only realised down to the media that it was optional, lately there is a lot of this in the media anyway.

In the 2nd question, if that is what you can remember being told, you had to take out the PPI because you were told you could only have the loan if you taken out PPI, so where-as you assumed it was all part of the loan then for example. (I would write this is what I can remember to the best of my knowledge, if you want to write that in that is).

In the 3rd question, let them know what you can recall on receiving, such as the agreement.
Do you remember receiving the terms and conditions of the policy?

And of course lastly, write in as much as you can, if you were employed at the time, did you already have cover by the employer, on why you think you were mis sold, maybe you only recently became of the mis selling in the media and would not have known about it otherwise, and any other reason why you were mis sold the policy, for example, maybe you were not informed that it only covered you for the first 5 years, where you would be paying out on this for the life of the loan etc etc......
Just try to remember what you can and write in "This is to the best of my knowledge".........

I would also state that you also believe they should have the information when the sale taken place which helped your application.;)

Try not to worry, please keep us posted and good luck.
