Ok letter ready to take to EA tomorrow, bedroom all sorted

We've decided to keep the car, reduced the weekly payments for maintenance as it's just had a load of work done on it, and greatly reduced petrol. DH will bike to work and I will use the car for my little (and I mean little) ironing business. Petrol for any day trips etc will com from spending money.
This will slightly reduce our target amount for the end of December but we won't be far off. I haven't included any ironing profits or saving to the food budget so those too will be extras, and hopefully I shall get more customers too.
DH has a claim in for whiplash from a car accident before Christmas so that will all go towards the total.:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0 -
you have to make the right decision for you when it comes to the car.
Hope you 've got a good weekend planned. I've not got much planned, probably will try and not have to use my car to save on the fuel0 -
Thanks Lemon Tree. It would be a bad decision getting rid of the car as I would have to give up the few customers I have, and not have the chance of getting more customers and earning more money. We are going to be really strict on using it though. DH picked up his bike today, an electric pushbike lol, and is doing the trial run to work tomorrow! Therefore I will have the car sitting outside so will need to make myself NOT just 'nip out' to Tesco or anywhere else!
I am pretty focused at the moment so it will be more likely a case of can DH cope with the bike (8 miles each way!) or will he resort back to the car at all... He has fitness in mind too so he'll give it a good go.
List for tomorrow:
-Finish the meal plan til the end of the month.
-Write a list for the next shop.
-Check RM to see if they've taken us off yet.
-Check banking.
-Hoover living room.
-Make pizza dough (attempting heart shaped pizzas...:D)
-Sort some laundry.
And finally - GET TO BED ON TIME!!
Good night
xxx :heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0 -
Had a busy day today! Went to Tesco on foot with the pram. Saved petrol and limited my spending as there's only so much I can carry. Phoned the two trust funds and cancelled the direct debits.
-Finish the meal plan til the end of the month. not done yet
-Write a list for the next shop. not done yet
[STRIKE]-Check RM to see if they've taken us off yet.[/STRIKE] Still on!!
[STRIKE] -Check banking.[/STRIKE]
-Hoover living room. doing next!
[STRIKE]-Make pizza dough (attempting heart shaped pizzas...:D)[/STRIKE] delicious!
-Sort some laundry. tomorrow
And finally - GET TO BED ON TIME!! still to do
So not a complete list, but I did things that never got to the list lol.
Happy Valentine's Day! xxx:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0 -
We're doing quite well with the food budget this month. I budget £300 for the month and am trying to get this down. So far we've spent £220, won't need to shop until Sunday, I've done a list and it should come to less than £20 to last until the end of the month! We might possibly need more bread midweek. Next month I shall try even harder.
Tonight we are trying the 8p value curry
and on Wednesday it will be the stuffing/lentil burgers! I have made mince bought for 4 meals stretch to 9 using lentils, oats and random grated veg! This is to feed us 4 and the baby, and one lasagne even fed ten with some scabby donkeys too
I have another ironing customer from Monday, just round the corner!
DH went on the bike M,T,W this week then had to take the car Thurs and today - his bum was sore!! LOL He's decided he wants to do up the old motorbike he has in the yard and start going on that
I tell you he changes his mind more often that his pants! As long as I still have the car for collecting and delivering ironing then I'll be happy.
The little ones are off school now for half term so we shall be finding some cheap and cheerful activities to do, one being making cards for DH birthday on Thursday.
Today I shall be doing some washing, and going to the park if it stays dry. Then trying the 8p curry for tea haha!! I hope I'll be back...:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0 -
saz has your hubby thought about getting a new gel seat for his bike? it's the first thing i bought for mine.
enjoy your 8p curry, i'm sure i've heard people on here say it's nice, i've never seen it though i have to admit.0 -
Aha! I shall mention that to him, thanks x:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0
-
Apparently it is a gel seat...
Well we survived the 8p curry!! I added some chicken saved and frozen from a roast, a red onion, some mushrooms and some lentils, served it with rice and do you know it was delicious! Tasted like any jar of expensive stuff! I also made a divine chocolate cake to finish off with
DH is off on the 'normal' pushbike tomorrow, we'll see how that works lol. Me and the little ones are going to paint a pot at the local garden centre and then I'll pick up some ironing. Tonight we had lasagne (was half made from spag bol the other day) and tomorrow will be fish from the freezer and hm chips.
I've done my shopping this afternoon, I'd missed a few things off the list (nappies!) and so it was more than I'd expected. Still I've spent £40 less than we budget for the month so all good!:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0 -
