Thanks Lunar,
My DH finds it so hard, I thought he'd cracked it a couple of months ago when he quit for 9 weeks!! The problem was he still had them when he had a beer, maybe once a week, but that gradually crept back up to £20 a day. It's hard for us non smokers cos I can't see why he doesn't just 'not have one'!
Oh well maybe one day he'll stop.

I've just been re-looking at the budget sheet (I'm dying to bust this loan!!) and working out how to pay it off quicker.
We have at the moment £60 'spare' a week which works out monthly at £265. (divided by 7, times 31). If we cut this down to £15 a week, that's £200 extra to put towards the loan each month!
That would mean we would have a big enough chuck to pay it off in about 3 years instead of the original 8!!!
The big question is...can we live off £15 a week.
With the things I've already accounted for, I think this could well be possible! It might get difficult when we have a night out planned, but we could save up a few weeks worth of £15 for a night out.
The weekly spend challenge should keep me on track.
I'll put it to DH tomorrow.
Ooh I'm all giddy again!
Good night!

Just transferred £100 into LBA!!!
Managed not to spend a penny in town this morning, just went to bank, I was very good!
I'm getting to the point where I'd rather stay in and never buy another thing until the loan's paid off! How sad!!

well done on the £100 saving. The feeling of never wanting to spend anything till the debt is gone will come and go as you pay off the debts. keep some money in reserve for when the occasional need to shop hits, that way you can have an odd treat.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0

Well here's one way not to spend much in Tesco... suddenly realise it's 3pm and son needs picking up at 3.15!!!
I had to race to the checkout with what I had in the trolley, pay and race up to school leaving milk and all the cold stuff heating up in the boot! I got there just in time, but still have to go back later for bread, loo rolls and washing powder!!!:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0 -
I've just slashed £11 off the Virgin Media bill.
I phoned up to downgrade the TV package, got a free BB upgrade and knocked the price from £38 to £27!!!
That's £11 extra towards the LBA!!!
:-):heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0
