£30 per month DD. Just me living here with 2 TVs (one always on) tumble dryer and washing machine on every other day, electric cooker, microwave, and gas heating.0
-
£44 pm dd - 5 people (2+3), detached modern home all of the mentioned dryers, cookers etc.
We really need some competition for NIE.
Let's face it they can charge what they like. Water will be the same soon too.0 -
Professor, you're paying a lot less than me for the same number (2+3). Think we're fairly energy concious here as regards wastage but the tumble dryer is probably the biggest culprit and I use it far too much. Competition sorely needed for NIE. Did I hear that the energy market will open up substantially in March when new players can enter the market? Maybe this is just for business customers. Can anyone shed any light on this (sorry, awful pun! ;D)0

£65pm here (2+3) oil heating, pc, dishwasher and the washing machine on every day plus the usual kettle, toaster iron etc.0

Ours works out at approx £8 per week or £96 per quarter. All usual appliances, no tumble dryer though, so that might equate for ours being cheaper than some.
2 adults and 2 kids 3 bed flat with ofch.0 -
£36 a month for both electricity and gas ... 2 of us, washing machine and dryer on 3 times a week each, TV, hi-fi and pc on most of the time, plus microwave, kettle, etc. More through luck than judgement we switched supplier early last year and got a capped rate before all the rises, which I'm sure has helped.Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0

I noticed a huge saving by switching my computer monitor off, instead of leaving it on standby when I shut down the computer.0

Just a wee note on leaving your pc monitor on standby,
Did you know if you leave it on standby when the pc is switched off it will waste enough energy overnight to laser print 800 A4 pages?
So if that's how much energy is wasted in one house with one item on standby, how much could we save by switching things off completely when we're done?0 -

Mimi1. You say that you changed supplier - who did you change to? Are you in NI?
