It does say how much hoochi - it is up to £175pw for one child. Get them to send out the c/care grant application and it comes with a uber handy book with all the finer details and much more. Rough maths of the top of my head, your cost per week might be 200+, well you would get the 175max and the rest would have to come out of your pocket. If cost is less you would get 85% of that and once again cover the deficit.
The money is paid to you in advance IIRC

Adult dependants grant: can i apply for this as we are on low income my partners income will be £10,000 fr next year we have 3 children i have applied for childcare grant, student loan and maintenance grant but wasnt sure if the adg is for when my partner is out of wrk any help appreciated iv alreaduy had to send numerous change of circumstances forms off as i filled in original form wrn getting really stressed0

ADG can be claimed if the adult in question is financially dependent on the student.DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0 -
Hi there
I am a single parent of a child aged 8 and have been at uni full time for three years I am exempt from paying council tax until qualify you could look into this you need an exemption certificate from the uni when you start then give it in to council tax benefit people hope this helps.

I can't see it mentioned here, but you may find that your university has a bursary scheme as well. Mine was means tested and we received an extra £1000 in February. Every bit helps.

thank you thats great my college gives a bursary of £400 which i qualify for and i am completing a form to get 25% of council tax so thank you0
