No there will be no reduction. Reductions are only given when a child is classed as a dependent and Uni education does not come under that category.

It's the same for an NRP when their child starts Uni, their liability ends as the child is considered an adult.

ok thanks but he's not independent - he is still dependant on myself and my OH as he does not have a job and will be staying with me whilst attending uni:confused:

In the eyes of the law he is as he is an adult in University education. There is nothing to stop him getting a part time job like most students do for extra cash.

Why is the fact he is going to Uni make things tight? If he's been living in the house already I don't see the difference:confused:

I've never been to Uni but I thought you got grants and loans for things like that. He could always pick up a bar job as well to ease the financial pressure?

Anyways, answer is still the same. If there was a reduction for children going to Uni in the NRP/NRPP house then there would need to be the rule that CSA got paid in the PWC household whilst the child was at Uni and I'm pretty certain you would have something to say about that;)

What I mean is if say your hubby got a reduction for your child going to Uni, then to balance it (in the eyes of the CSA) the children in the PWC house (hubbys ex) would still be entitled to CSA should her children go to Uni and since you are very vocal about your dislike of your hubby's ex, I was getting at that this wouldn't be very popular with you!;)
