Removing AVG and installing Kaspersky Help Needed

Hi I uninstalled avg using the uninstall programme on my comp and also off the o/s, did the temp files too... but when i run the Kaspersky disk it wont install as say avg 8 needs removing before can go any further. I cant see for the life me where it is or figure out whats going on - help - cheers

What operating system do you have?
You say you removed it in two ways, can you explain this a little?
If you have uninstalled it sometimes you just need a reboot for it to work!0 -
Cheers guys, i followed advice for the removal tool, it said i had removed avg 8 so i went back to the google page n found this addy which explained why it would not load...

anyhow it worked (i dont know how i did it tbh) but hey im well chuffed with this security ma comp is running much faster than the avg security and at a third the price.
