I recieved an item I didn't buy off an Ebay seller

I received two items off the same ebay seller, but I didn't order (and haven't even paid for one of them). Nothing showing in my Ebay either. I emailed the seller and explained that I only bought one item, and asked what they wanted me to do, as it doesn't belong to me, but they don't seem to understand?
Where do I stand with this, shall I just keep it?

Hang on, to clarify...
You bought one item and they sent 2?My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
I take it you have paid for one of them, but not the other.
I would contact the seller again & tell them they must have sent the second item in error to you & ask what they would like you to do. Im sure they will realise soon enough when the other buyer complains that hey havent received their item.
If they ask you to return it then I would be asking them to gift you the postage costs via paypal so you are not out of pocket.0 -
Yes. I ordered a book. That at first didn't come, but a game came instead, so I emailed the seller and said you've sent me the wrong item and they replied saying that one item was sent recorded and the other1st class.
I explained in another email that this item wasn't mine, as I had only ordered one item, and what did they want to do, but the seller hasn't got back to me, and has given me positive feedback.
What else do I do? Surely someone must have told him they haven't recieved their item (because it was sent to me!)0 -

I really do not want to be out of pocket, but don't want to keep the item (unless the seller insists), in case someone else has bought it, and I don't want it sitting around for ever. Its been a few days, and thats a good idea, but the seller just hasn't got what I'm saying.0 -
If you can be bothered spell it out slowly...lol.
You have probably thrown them into total confusion. Just wait and see what they suggest, they might just say keep it anyway. If you feel really kind offer to post to the real recipient if they cover your Postage via a partial refund.0 -
The seller seems a bit dim, so I would put it in a cupboard and leave it for now.
Perhaps check the seller's feedback, and see if they get a negative for a non receipt of item, in which case, hopefully they'll put 2 and 2 together and figure it out!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
hang on to the item just be careful if they ask for your pay pal details to send you the postage0

just make sure they dont pay you by paypal unless it is a partial refund of your original payment or a gift otherwise you will get charged. Other then that there is no reason to worry about receiving by paypal.0

Thanks for that. I'll bear that in mind.0
