Hey everyone,

Im looking at getting a new car and im really interested in the Ibiza FR TDI for its combination of 55mpg and 0-60 in 9 seconds (obviously not at the same time). I have two in my local area which are similarly priced and specced. One is red the other is black, i cant decide what looks nicest.

Please people of MSE, help me!!!

Here are two pics of the same models in the same colour i found on google...

    Its red for me.

So that's two votes for red and two votes for black. Don't suppose that helps much, does it OP?

Red might go out of fashion. Black never does. !!!!! to keep clean though...!

Red. Too much effort to keep black clean. Black looks smart when well polished though....
  • Red is more visible and therefore safer, but for myself I'd have the black one.

I've just sold my Red one, loved it, deffo get a red one again, however you wont get 55mpg, 45mpg at best, and that's being gentle on the motorway.

I got rid of it because there were too many little niggles with it for my liking, but it drives really well, you could certainly do worse.

Black more in demand and looks great when freshly polished.
    I'd have a blue one though :)

Having had both a black and red car i would go for the red.

When you have a black car theres nothing worse when you have cleaned car in the morning and it rains in the afternoon. It shows up dirt very very very quickly. Plus I was cut up so often when I was driving the black car because no one could see me. It was very frustrating.

    cheers
