in Credit cards
I need a credit card, but our credit rating isn't brilliant right now.
The amount I need to pay is low, £200, and it will be paid off within a couple of months.
What I really need to know is which is the easiest card to get?

Vanquis or Capital one is your best bet depending on your circumstances.
Are you employed? Any defaults on credit file etc.
Of the two, Vanquis should be the easiest, apply online, decision in approx 7-14 days. They normally telephone to advise and if successful sell you insurance and offer you a cash advanceNatwest gold..Limit £1750 bal £970..Vanquis Limit £3000 bal £0..Littlewoods..Limit £1200 bal 0..Additions direct..Limit £4900 bal £1356..Empire Limit £6200 bal £152..Jd williams..Limit £1100 bal £130..Simplybe..Limit £1500 bal 265,,Fashion world..Limit £1400 bal £145 Jacamo..Limit£125 bal 0

I'm not employed, but my credit file should be reasonable, DH is employed, but his credit file has more recent problems.
I shall check them out!A penny saved is a penny earned.

If you apply for Vanquis via Quidco you also get £25 cash back. I applied on the 18th and got the phone call this afternoon trying to sell me the insurance and offer cash advance. They gave me a £500 Limit but im not going to use the card just applied for the cashback

As far as I'm aware you can declare yourself as a homemaker and use household income.
Are you financially linked to your hubby on CRA'S.
Still think Vanquis is best bet, should get £250 limit, interest is high so be sure to pay off asap. Excellent for rebuilding credit though.
Good luck
ps think Quidco, a cashback site pay you £25 for successful application so worth a look :beer:Natwest gold..Limit £1750 bal £970..Vanquis Limit £3000 bal £0..Littlewoods..Limit £1200 bal 0..Additions direct..Limit £4900 bal £1356..Empire Limit £6200 bal £152..Jd williams..Limit £1100 bal £130..Simplybe..Limit £1500 bal 265,,Fashion world..Limit £1400 bal £145 Jacamo..Limit£125 bal 0
