I wrote to barclaycard 2 weeks ago and I'm anxiously waiting for them to reply. Is it unreasonable to expect them to reply within that time or do you think I should gee them up a bit? BTW here's a copy of my letter. Any good?
Dear Sirs
I am currently reviewing my finances and I am considering the 0% balance transfers that are available at the moment.
I have noticed that Barclaycard have a 0% Balance Transfer for 10 months available but unfortunately this offer seems to be for new customers only.
Sadly, I have been unable to locate any such information for existing customers.
Would you consider offering me a promotional rate for a limited period to help me with payment of my account, bearing in mind this might take me some time?
I have been a loyal customer for many years.
This would be very much appreciated as I have always found Barclaycard very reasonable and accommodating in the past.
Thanking you for your kind attention and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Love and Kisses etc....

Call them up, and say you want to cancel; they'll put you through to retentions who have all the offers to hand to try to get you to say. You'll get further quicker this way0
