MoreThan No Claims?

I've just changed to morethan for my house insurance but they don't have an option to say how many no claims you have?? I'm not bothered because with their free contents insurance they were the cheapest by far! Just seems odd they don't want to know for the buildings insurance for a better discount?! Any ideas anyone?

No claims bonus on house insurance doesn't really have the same effect as on cars. They tend to be rated based on your claims history rather than on any "bonus". This is especially the case with Buildings cover as depending on where you live, the premiums can be as low as £40 or £50 if you are claim free so having a "bonus" wouldn't be practical. Plenty do offer NCB but it's a bit of a gimmick really.

Yeh sounds perfectly logical. They have a list of yes/no questions about having any previous claims etc so that's your 'no claims' so to say!
