Paying large sum for holiday.

Hi everybody!

I have been directed here by a friend who said this site was really useful so I am new here!
Basically I wanted people's advice on paying for a holiday. About a year ago I booked a holiday to Canada and it is coming up so I have to pay it and I am not sure of the best way. I was going to pay by cheque but was advised to pay by credit card so if the company go bust I can claim my money back.

And what happens if I part paid it credit card and part cheque, would I then only be protected for the amount I paid by credit card?

Any advice would be muchly appreciated.

Thanks!

Have you already paid a deposit? If so, how much and how did you pay?

Is it a package, hotel + flight or what?

The above may change the answer to your question.

Also, who did you book with - website details might help us answer.

PS I go to Canada regularly, so always interested in what others are doing - where and what is your trip?

you are covered if you pay part Credit Card and part other method . just make sure you pay more the £100 on the credit card .

.....might be the correct answer, but it depends how it was booked and with whom. That's the reason for my questions above.
