the whole beat my quote thread is for exactly that.. you've done a bit of research, and want someone to beat it... fair i think, as you've done some work, and know what you want etc..

just to tell us to find you a holiday is a bit much IMO, and that's why it is called beat my quote, and not, find me a holiday for this budget because i can't be bothered..

    just my opinion..

btw.. it took me 5 minutes to search teletext holidays, and find 1 room for 1 person at £333, AI, from Bristol Airport..

    it ain't hard to do

I agree, a monkey could book a holiday using teletext, its a great tool, however when you research that hotel on trip advisor you then find out its not all it appears to be.

What I'm trying to do here is give travel agents an opportunity to do their job and 'sell' me a holiday, and the less criteria I have surely the easier that makes it for them?

Its not a question of being bothered, I've spent hours looking, but I'm yet to find somewhere which strikes me as a good deal.

It seems very hard to find a balance between a hotel which is going to be full of 18-30s clubbing all night and somewhere in the middle of nowhere with zero entertainment in the evenings. Therefore I'm hoping from this thread that the odd person may be able to chip in with the name of a hotel they've stayed in in the past which has impressed them. Doesn't seem to be asking much.

Thanks to sloppychops for putting forward some suggestions, I'll look into them further.

Perhaps get easyJet flights from Bristol to Barcelona and look at places near there to stay.

So you want a 5* holiday for a 1* price... and isn't that what getting off your !!!! and walking down the high street is for, asking a travel agent to give you a price?!???

Nope, 3* holiday for a 3* price. I will try going down the high street tomorrow but I assume I will get a 3* holiday for a 5* price if I pursuse that option.
