Do you always wait for the invoice?

Do you pay asap or wait for the invoice from the seller?

Im a casual seller, more of a buyer myself. However i sold a pair of cargo trousers on Sat and a handbag on Sun. Buyer who bought the trousers paid really quickly, buyer who bought the handbag still hadn't paid up until this afternoon.

So after work today i had to post back a catalogue item and wanted to post my 2 ebay items. Of course could only post the cargo trousers.

Returned home from work, still no payment for the handbag. Then wondered if they wait for the invoice, sent them one and got payment from them within the hour.

But what difference does receiving an invoice make? As a buyer i never wait for the invoice, pay as soon as i have won, its easier.

As a seller i very rarely send them as i mostly receive payment really quickly.

I generally send one after a few hours if they haven't paid straight away.
It isn't really necessary but maybe some buyers just like the contact?

I never wait for the invoice. 9 times out of 10 I've only just put my bid in seconds before the auction ends so why hang about?

I only wait for the invoice if I've bought more than 1 item as some sellers combine the postage for me.

I have noticed that people buying from my private account seem to wait for an invoice, those buying from my business account just pay.

    I've no idea why.

I always pay immediately if I am watching, but I never wait for an invoice. However when selling I always try to send and invoice immediately, only because I am watching to see how much I make!!

I only bid if I have the money in PayPal, then pay as soon as the auction ends. If I'm not at home I'll pay using my mobile. I've never bought anything and not paid within 10 minutes.

I usually pay straight away, unless I'm out when the auction ends of course. I occasionally leave it a few hours if I'm bidding on several things due to finish within that time, as it's easier to just log-in to Paypal once and pay them all at the same time.
  • I never wait for an invoice.

If I need the seller to give me a better total on multiple purchases then I ask for one. Other than that I just pay.
