Hope everyone is enjoying the gorgeous weather, I certainly am. Had such a great weekend BBQ on the Saturday and picnic in the park on Sunday.

Hi Trix 2 - Thanks for that info, I’ve never heard of clothes swapping but it’s a great idea. I probably wont be swapping with friends as we don’t wear the same size, but will definitely google and find venues where this takes place.

I had trouble sleeping last night as it was so hot and stuffy, even with the windows open. Plus there were 3 mosquitos in my room and I spent most of the night waiting to catch them. I’ve got 6 bites in total and they are all very itchy! After I caught them I was paranoid that there were more and couldn’t sleep so spent the rest of the night listing on EBay until I dozed off at 5am….

Im off to make my tuna sandwhich…mmm yummy…

This week has been pretty boring, I sold a few things on Ebay, but one item has gone missing, now the buyer wants a refund even though it was her fault to begin with. The address she had on her paypal and Ebay account did not have her door number on, and now the parcel has gone missing as I didnt put a return address on it. I dont really know what to do, and have email ebay for their help.

With the help of my dad and his car, we will be doing our first car boot sale, so I have just been getting my stuff together to do that. I'm looking for cheap price tags, or labels so I can price everything up beforehand. We wont do it for another few weeks as the weather isnt looking good for this weekend. Im sticking to my lunch plan OK, I did pop into the shops on my way home yesterday and bought 3 dresses, but I am going to return tonight.

Oh no, I spent my lunch break looking on EBay and ended up buying a pair of gladiator sandals and a leather bag. I spent £60, this will have to come out of my shopping allowance which means I have no money left to buy anything with. :(

On the up side I saw the bag in River Island for £80 yesterday and the sandals for £60 last month, so I did save myself some money...:T

oh china-doll u sound like my sister, she gives herself more monthly allowance for clothes than food too! (i am the other way round - but i do shop for three tho!)
ur phone contract looks rather steep, i guess there nothin u can do til the 18months is up, perhaps look to see if there is a lower priced tariff from the same provider they can downgrade u 2?
i would sell the more expensive stuff on ebay and take the toot to a car boot, my experience of car boots is that ppl all look for a bargain and wont pay more than a few pound for stuff.
ur on the right track so good luck - i save too because im worried about redundancy etc!

Thanks Mini Bear

I've decided that everything that I cant sell on EBay will go in the car boot pile, I did email my provider and asked if I could downgrade and they gave me a phone number to call which I will do tomorrow...so fingers crossed they let me.

Redundancy is scary, I work in the head office for a retailer and a week before xmas the company went into administration, for a whole 5 weeks I was looking for jobs but had no luck. I was living off my credit card as we hadnt been paid Dec wages and my last pay was in Nov. Then at the end of jan we all got called into a meeting where they read 10 names out, mine included, we were taken into another room and told that in an office of 50 we were the only people who were kept on. This was a huge wake up call and i feel sorry for anyone who has to go through this. My sister was not as lucky as me and has been jobless for the last few weeks, and she also has no savings and living off her credit cards....

Ahhh I never thought of asking for that, I am supposed to be paid on the 28th of each month, and its usually in the early morning but when I checked my balance at mid day I still had not been paid and the phone bill left my account in the morning. I think next month I will see if my phone bill can come out on the 30th of each month, not the 28th.

That would be a good idea. Many banks specify that you have to have cleared funds in your account the day before a direct debit (or other payment) is due to come out.

Good luck with your challenge!

Its been a good weekend. I spent it with my bf, and we stayed in all day because he had really bad hayfever. I spent most of the day listing items on EBay and watching dvds. We have decided to move in together so spent all Sunday looking at places to rent. It won’t be that much different because we spend so much time together anyways, but I am still very very excited!! :j
Apart from that, I haven’t done much, which also means I haven’t spent much! I’ve been sticking to my lunch menu and I have to admit I’m getting a bit sick of it. I came across this thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=326929 and its fab, so I will be using some of these recipes over the next few weeks
