samsung mp3 player problem

Hi
I have bought a samsung yp-u3 2gb mp3 player, and for the life of me cannot get my computer to recognise it, i have installed the disc that comes with it and the samsung website has no drivers, my computer has windows vista on it
any ideas

my daughter has the same one and its recoqnised in vista no probs, even without the cd
have u tried it in a different usb port or pc?

i have tried it in my front usb port and my usb hub and it recognises it as an unidentifed device and does nothing elsesealed pot challange 5 member 1478 £0/£200

can you go to device manager, right click the device and then select update driver
also try it in a rear usb port or a powered hub

how did it go on the rear port of the vista machine?
