Samsung repairs

I was given an expensive samsung camera for xmas, i had only used it a couple of times and now its not working.

I have tried samsung repairs a few times and they keep fobbing me off with things to try to make it work. Now they have run out of things to suggest they have the cheek to tell me that the serial number on the outside of the box is invalid and they want to see a copy of the reciept before they will do anything.

I have the reciept but its faded and when i copy it to email them its not showing. I dont want to send them the original. It was brought from argos so can i take the camera in there and get a new one? Or do i have to keep trying with samsung? If its samsung do you think i can take the original reciept into argos and ask them for a new copy so it can be sent to samsung?

Your contract is with the retailer (argos in this case) so you should take it back to them, with the receipt, and ask them to either repair or replace it...
