advice re capital 1

Options
i had some defaults with cap 1 wen i was in uni about 3 years ago however paid the balance off in full. i then reclaimed bank charges off them. i havent had a statement from then in 3 years until now. the account number is the same as the account from 3 years ago. shows the credit limit of £200 and the current balance which is obviously 0.

i do not have a card for this account.

Is the account still open , why have i only now received a statement, is it better to close this account or just leave it as it is

Depends which other credit cards you have at the mo. Are the credit limits more generous than this one?

If it has produced a statement, it sounds like it is still open. Either check your credit files or give cap 1 a ring.
