Great 'Party for Profit' Hunt. How to make cash from party planning

I can't honestly comment on the company you've set up with. They are all different in terms of commission etc. However I quit my job in banking earlier this year to focus on my DSA Jewellery business and am currently earning more than enough to cover what I would have earned at the bank. This isn't without a lot of hard work though so it's all about how much effort you want to put into it. It's up to you with direct selling companies - you can earn as much or as little as you want but as far as I'm concerned it's a career for life. I plan to earn enough for my wages, a few nice holidays a year and to put my kids through uni - I'm in it for the long haul....

I do parties, events and one-2-one's. I find that I get a lot of repeat custom and work hard to ensure my exisiting customers are happy as well as continually searching for new customers. The benefit of selling jewellery is that I'm a walking advert so that always helps....
My aim is one party per week, but that can be hit and miss dependent on the time of year - summer I can scrape by with a couple of parties a month but october its more like 3 parties a week so it all works out in the end.0 -
I am a demo fro Stampin Up which is mainly party plan and I think when you go into it you can't expect the business to come to you. Without putting the effort in you are not going to get good, loyal customers. Friends and family can get you started but there is only going to be so much stuff that they want so you have to make sure you get your patter to get others to sign up to have parties and then youmake connections like that. Relationship management is the real key to making it successful and being your own best advert - using the product, loving it and having a ball doing it.

In just four months of working with Vie at home, I have been promoted to Junior Manager!!!! I have 7 girls in my team already who just love the products and love the idea of being paid to wear it and demonstrate it to others. In May I got the National Recruiting award. I don't push people to sign up, they just keep coming to me and asking to! Either this month or next month I'll make Branch Manager and my team will be independent. This is when the money really starts coming in if you're looking at it from a career point of view. I could have just kept it as a hobby but the promotion crept up behind me and I've gone with it! Nobody gets paid for someone else's work though, I still have to do my fair share, but hey, selling cosmetics is not rocket science and I love it!
If you're worried about the recession... don't... there are two business that boom during recessions. Chocolate and Cosmetics. That's fact! :dance:0 -

Hold a party at your home, see how it goes. Either sell stock directly or take orders for larger quantities. Guests could order something bespoke to make it more personal to them or the occasion. Try to get at least two people to hold a party for you after that then at each party you do, get two more to host a party as well and so your business will grow! Maybe you could handmade cards to match the papers and sell them as sets?0 -
Well after having last minute concerns I'm really pleased that I joined up with FM perfumes now as I'm doing really well:D I don't really have to sell them as they just seem to sell themselves. All I'm doing at the moment is leaving my sample case and catalogue with various friends/family/colleagues for a couple of days and when I pick it up I have loads of orders:D In a fortnight I have made approx £100 in commision:T I realise that eventually I will have to start doing parties etc (I've had 2 people offer to host parties, very scary thought:eek:) as I will eventually run out of friends and family to sell to:rotfl:But at the moment I'm really enjoying myself and I've even got my first recruit so starting to build a team as well:DFeb GC £80 per week (Well I'm gunna try:whistle:)
