Travel Insurance to US for 75+ or US medical cover??

Hi,
I'm trying to get quotes for My mum ( 75Yrs) to visit the US for about 3 months. I'm being quoted anything up to £2000, but have just found 1 quote for £449 which includes pre existing medical conditons and will cover a trip of 113 days, this seems to be good to be true!??
I'm wondering if anyone out there has any tips or can recommend any companies as next March she'll be 76 ( and prices increase) and other than Type 2 diabetes - controlled by diet & exercise and high blood pressure, she's in good shape. Each year she visits the US for 3-4 months at a time to stay with my brother as it's much cheaper overall for her to live out there, and the only thing stopping her go permanently is the cost of US medical Insurance.
My concern is that as long as she's healthy and able to travel out there which will hopefully be a long time yet, the cost of insurance is going to skyrocket, so I wondered if anyone had any advice on this ??! either buying US medical Insurance or Uk travel Insurance?
