Travel insurance recommendations

I am about to book a holiday and am wanting to purchase a travel insurance policy. There will be three adults and one child. I am looking for some recommendations as to who is good/not good.
Obviously, I will look at the various policies on offer, but am just looking for recommendations on how good they are if you have to claim.
For many years I had American Express. They were not the cheapest, but I did think that they would be the best. I did not claim for many years. However, I had a claim last year for a lost suitcase, and they were dreadful at dealing with it.
Just looking at what other people have found.

Fortis offer very good cover they offer cover through local brokers or through the Post Office scheme. The cover they offer through brokers is better than the Post Office in most cases0

If this is still valid then check out the travel insurance recommendatiosn on this site, but also try moneysupermarket / comparethemarket type sites, they list all the different benefits for lots of insurance companies so that it is easy to compare.0
