Just read your post I a new here but I think I can help you as I was in the same position however I have found a charity here in Nottingham that sells off there 2nd hand power chairs and scooters I have just got a £6000 chair for £400 and it looks brand new. They are a great couple who will let you try them all out and will e-mail and send pictures.
