aubergine? - nope sorry lucifa... not a scooby doo... wouldn't know what on earth to do with it...

Luc - did you hear i did my baker highes 10k on sunday... happy happy happy with 1:13:24secs, 4.5minutes better then montrose 10k 5 weeks ago...

Aiming for 1:12 in Leeds now!

And i forgot to tell you guys that i pulled a bloke on sunday... which was kinda amazing! and good for my ego!

Was plodding along the first 2-3km of the race, and realised i was beside this bloke, step for step, stride for stride... so i turned to him and said... "you do know that we're probably going to be running together all the way round, this is my one and only speed really." He laughed and said "yeah you're probably right actually. I'm John..." we shook hands and i said "i'm marion"

and off we ran, chatting about everything and nothing much. He was quite a big lad, and was talking about needing to lose weight, to get back down to his running fitness, (he'd taken the place at short noticed for an injured colleague so was undertrained) I spoke about my weightloss and he was very impressed, he said something like "well you look great, cause you're a pretty woman and young looking, i can't believe you're a veteran runner (over 35 females are classed as vets! pah!!)

so i blushed (well except my face was already red!!) and kinda brushed it off...... then i made sure to mention big g at the next juncture, to make it clear that i sadly wasn't free to be flirting with unknown blokies...!!

And anyway, methinks he lies, cause one thing i am not is attractive when running!! lol!

But it was good for my ego!!

Anyway at 8km he got a cramp and as i was keen to come in under 1:15 i said was it okay if i ran on... and i'd see him coming thru the end....

So i cheered him in at the finish, gave him a wee hug and went off to meet my chums.

It really helped to have someone nice to chat to most of the way round and even though it might have slowed me down in some of the middle stages, it actually probably gave me a more even all round run in the end and a better time....
