Gotcha, youre right it isnt well explained is it have to admit I had a look at the leaflets about it myself this morning. You'd think that by now companies would be using less 'small print' lol. Hope you got some lovely clothes with them though, be treating myself to some new stuff later this year when I've had a through clear out after my holiday._sleepless_ wrote: »Sorry that kinda came out wrong - i meant it was naughty for the woman to not explain that for my £6.50 i would only be getting £10 and points back BEFORE she actually processed the thing - since i'd read the leaflet etc and it wasn't mentioned i felt she should have checked with me before processing the thing! Plus i felt her attitiude when i asked why i only had £10 not £13 was inappropiate she hadn't explained it therefore it was a valid question and she was mood, made me feel like i was being awakard and said it's too late now anyway!
I do accept i was in a bad mood that day too it's been a very tight money finanically (thanks to my ex and a large unexpected bill) i had carefully calucated that i could get some new clothes very cheaply with my doubled up vouchers and cheaper still with the 20% clothing discount so felt a little cheated when i had to pay the additional £3 i thought i would be saving.
I have never seen a £13 voucher either but i have been issued with a £10 and 3 x £1 vouchers previously. Also it looked to me it was a case of it being processed through the till rather so it was a case of printing the numbers on the screen like a till spit (which do come in some rather strange amounts 75p etc) rather than a pre-printed proper voucher!
I guess the extra points will probably be more useful later in the year anyway as i'll be able to double up nearer christmas time and get some cheap prezzies!
sleeplessIt’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I exchanged some clubcard vouchers for the double rewards ones for clothing and was told if you have to bring any items back for refund, then you will only get the original price of the vouchers back i.e the amount on the clubcard voucher before they were doubled up, so a purchase was £10 with the double reward you will only get back £5.00 back, hope this makes sense!!And yes the lady in the avatar is me

That sounds fair to me!
A purchase of £10 using double up vouchers is £5 of Tesco's money and £5 of your own money. Why should you get more than you paid back?!:j30/7/10:j

Clarification needed please afaik Double up is only on following
Cosmetics etc
Toys
Baby /Toddler
Mobile
Flowers
Clothing
So afaik NOT on everyday groceries?0 -
Definitely not on everyday groceries - they want you to just spend the normal clubcard vouchers on that!
Not on electricals either - I wanted a new laptop out of it!What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Dont use them in tescos!!!! Doubled or otherwise, thats exactly what they want you all to do!
Keep them and get 4 times the value elsewhere, they introduced this "double up" scheme to try and stop people sitting on piles of clubcard vouchers ready to take advantage of their next slip up (like buying a car with them etc.) and use them in store.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!

But what if they really are going to stop re-issuing ones that go out of date? I've just had £43 worth reissued, and the only thing I could really use them on would be Goldsmiths - and right now there is nothing I need there so it would be spending for spending's sake.
I know it's what they want, but if it is a choice between using them or not then I will double up, it will take ages to save for a holiday without the extra points fiasos! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

What if you want clothing? They don't have a partner that does clothing.. so you cannot get 4x value for clothes.
Some of these are stupid - like the airmiles. You need something like £62.50 of clubcard for flight to Prague or Amsterdam. Yet you can exchange that for £240 worth of Pizza Express vouchers (we go there a lot:-)) and have a party there and for the money you saved on that buy yourself 3 flights with BMI Baby to Prague from £90 each return...and that is price for the weekend and therefore most busy time.0
