Hi everyone, I'm after some advice...

Basically I'm moving into an apartment complex of which I'll be renting a 1 bedroom apartment. The apartment comes equipped with a load of phone sockets.

First of all, I'm only planning on renting this apartment for 6 months. So I can't get into BT's free-connection, 18 month contract.

I'm looking to get connected to a phone line and get broadband. Now, I understand the post office do line connection for free, as long as you go with them for ~£10p/m for a minimum of a 3 month contract. Is this correct?

Even if I'm with the Post Office and they've connected me up, is it still considered a BT line? Or do I need BT to connect me up?

Thanks.
