Hi there

When I open new tabs in IE and browse through websites everything is great until I log off. After opening up IE again it just opens the home page and not the tabs that I was previously viewing.

Is it possible to keep these tabs showing in IE everytime I log on?

Regards

sunni

  • Yes, as far as I'm aware, when it asks you if you want to close all tabs, there is a drop down menu that you can click re-open tabs. Firefox and Google Chrome definitely allow you to do this

When I close out of IE (small x top right of screen) it doesn't ask me if I want to close all tabs, then when I double click on IE it just brings up the home page and no tabs??

What version of IE is it?
In IE8 you can restore the last browsing session.

Im using IE8. And yes forgot about the "Restore Last Browsing Session" in it. That only works when you open a new tab though?

    Its IE7
Go to Tools > Internet options -
On the General tab there's a section called Tabs. Click on the Settings button. In the pop up that opens put a tick next to "Warn me when closing multiple tabs"

    what browsers are people using??
    Can you guess?

I think it's also an option in one of the drop downs. (Tools?)
Not got IE8 on this PC but I remember seeing it hidden somewhere up there.
