Anyone else having problems with Goofbay? Twice now I have lost items - the reason given was "eBay page not responding". The first time I thought fine, not their fault - but twice in a row?
Very hacked off, especially as my bids would have won the item both times.

Not that I know of, but I'm watching an auction that ends in 15 mins which I've set a snipe on, so I'll let you know how it goes!:j30/7/10:j

How weird - the item I lost out on was relisted straight away with a Buy It Now price of £37, despite selling for £35. Why would that be?0

That does sound a bit strange....maybe they had more than one of the item and thought as it reached £35 in auction someone might pay slightly more on BIN.
My snipe worked and I won the item

Well done! Maybe it's just my PC, in that case! Anyway I bought mine for the Buy it Now price, so all's well that ends well.0

i had a problem with the timer once - it said it had 20 secs left so i went to bid and found the item had ended! and my computer isnt slow at all0

I tried several sniping sites and snipegoods dot com works well for me. Give that a shot.0

Threads like this really !!!! me off. People will use a service for ages without a problem and not praise it, but as soon as it goes wrong they slate it. I bet they'll keep using it though
Sniping tools are just the wuss's option anyway, if you're going to snipe, have the balls to do it manually. I can usually get a bid onto an item inside 4 seconds of it ending without needing to resort to proxy methods
ETA
How do you know? Just because the sale price was, say £10, doesn't mean the winner hadn't bid £20. So if you'd sniped at £19, you wouldn't have won it. You may think you would have won, seeing the sale price, but thinking something and it being right are very different things.Very hacked off, especially as my bids would have won the item both times. :mad:Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

You may have all day to hang around eBay waiting for auctions to finish, but I have to work sometimes!0 -
