Patio doors to french doors. Fair quote ?

Any advice please as I would like the old patio doors replaced with french doors. Is it cheaper to buy my own from here

and then try to get someone in to fit ?
Any idea as to how much it would cost ? Has any one used the company in the link ? BTW I am in South Yorks. Thanks.

When you get a company to replace your doors, they will come around, measure the existing opening and get a set of doors made to the precise measurements needed.
They link you supplied are for standard size doors, which may or may not fit properly.

If you get your own doors and find someone to fit them, they will charge approx £150. But the responability is all yours if they don't fit or aren't good quality etc.

I have just done a quote for french doors and for high quality doors, in woodgrain finish it came to £840 supplied, fitted, guarenteed, waste removed and disposed off etc.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Shame you don't live near me as that sounds very reasonable. I will have to ask around for a small window fitting firm.
