:eek: i have just been reading in the web about using pressure treated timber for raised beds. thats what ive done, it said that it can contains chemicals so don't use it.
have i done the wrong thing?
the vegies seem to be growing great though. im worried all my hard work will be in vain.

I would not worry . been using various timber around /in / below my veggies for years, still alive:D

As long as you bought from a decent source you'll be fine. The preservative that contained unpleasant chemicals was banned a few years ago. I researched this last year, when I was in the process of making new raised beds.

Was an article by the organic specialist in grow your own mag where he confirmed modern treated wood is fine to use like this.
Only issue is if the wood is reclaimed and not brand new, the old type of chemicals may contain arsnic. Mind you even then the pressure treating procedure is supposed to stop any leaching afterwards.
My raised beds are pressure treated deck board and we had no problems so far. If you even slightly concerned you can line with plastic sheeting.
You will see articles saying not to use on america sites as they still use the older chemicals.
