This won't matter, the OP has perfectly valid reasons for not getting higher grades.
OP: It is always worth taking the exams. Do as well as you can, make sure you fill out any extenuating circumstances forms that are relevant - check with your department head but also the examination office and Student Support to make sure the paperwork is completed - they won't boost your grade if you fail by a lot but if there's only a few % in it, they may be able to bump you over the boundary.
Your senior tutor obviously has faith in you and your abilities so keep going :-)
Once you've got your grades you can sit down and discuss the options, but for now concentrate on passing as well as you can.
Good Luck

Thanks for all replies. I only started revising last Friday (just over a week ago). I've since had 3 exams & the final one tomorrow. I'm hoping to at least have passed 2, then I can chose to re-sit if I wish to.0

I've never known anyone to be asked for their transcript when job hunting, only for the overall grade.0 -
the first year courses are often shown on the transcripts as simple pass/fail grades..Oldernotwiser wrote: »I've never known anyone to be asked for their transcript when job hunting, only for the overall grade.0 -

For work experience I've been asked to show a current transcript. And for postgraduate courses you'll need to send a transcript. Mine shows what grades have been achieved.0 -

For postgrad courses, of course; it was for jobs I was questioning. Are they a new thing?0 -

I've never even seen a transcript of mine - and I wasn't asked for one for my PhD.
In any case it should be fine as you have a good reason, and once you have further qualifications/experience your first year exams won't matter at all.:coffee:Coffee +3 Dexterity +3 Willpower -1 Ability to Sleep
Playing too many computer games may be bad for your attention span but it Critical Hit!0 -
Well sat all 4 exams pheww. I do feel like I have crammed in revision, which isn't really helpful. Just got to hope I wrote enough sense to pass. Really don't relish the thought of potential resits.0
