If I paid for something online with a Cash Plus card, so I still get the same protection (eg refunds) as with a normal credit card?

Well in general - it's NOT a credit card, whatever it may be loosely called, so no protection. Some providers may choose to give it though0

Generally no you don't get s.75 but some issuers do allow it, I think it is specific to each card issuer....
