Bank draft, transfer or cheque which is safest?

I hope this is the right place to ask this.........
I am purchasing 2 weeks rental of someones flat in Spain, they don't accept credit cards but can take bank draft, transfer or cheque, whichever suits me best. I don't know which is safest....any advice please?

I would say transfer as the other two could get lost in the post0
