P&O Ferries refund

I booked a mini cruise with them on 15th April to take my son to Amsterdam. I called my mother to tell her and she had to tell me that the week I had booked (my birthday) that she had arranged a surprise birthday party for me. As i'm not english, a lot of my family had arranged to fly over, so i cancelled immediately. I took out the cancellation plan so I figured not a problem. I cancelled online and was charged £30 according to the website. Again not a problem. I was willing to swallow this to see my family again.
My problem is...it's now 25th May and I still have no refund.
How long do I reasonably have to wait?
I've called 3 times and each time I call they say "as you have been told before Miss Rain, we need to wait for our cancellation company to refund the money then we will do a reversal on your card" but they give me no timescale.
Just seems to be taking a long time for something I cancelled 15 minutes after booking.
At what point do I start venting?
