Hi All. Just a quick one if someone would be good to help me with.
Is it possible to get a mortgage with 2 defauls on credit history, one is completely cleared and was only £200 and the other I am currently paying which was only 3k now down to 2k. Myself and my fiancee are hoping to get a mortgage in the next year??
Thanks

Gissa a clue please..
How much income?
Job - PAYE&monthly salary or self employed (both of you) and how long in the job??
What other loans/credit accounts and are you regular, good payers (eg mobile contract)
How much mortgage ?
How much deposit?
If you are upstanding people who've held the same jobs for 20 years are paid shed-loads & only want to borrow £30k but are putting down £170k then yes, you will probably get a mortgage.. other circumstances may lead to a less happy answer..
Cheers!

If you've still got a £2000 debt, how do you propose saving the 10%+ deposit?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
You say the amounts are 'only' for £xxx - if it was only for such a small sum why did you default on it?
Not trying to be rude/!!!!!y just playing devils advocate here with what lenders may think.0 -
You will need a very large deposit and you'll be charged a very high rate of interest but yes, it is just about possible.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

If you defaulted twice this suggests to me:-
1) You have not got much money for a deposit etc.
2) You might default again in the future...0
