Im on a 16 month Interest free promotion with Virgin. Last month my payment was a few days late,so I got a late payment fee of £12 plus £60 in interest charges(as opposed to nil). I think i can accept this for the oneand only month I paid late, but will this mean paying interest for remainder of my promo period?

Read your Terms and Conditions. Will more than likely say that late payment during the promo period will result in the promo being cancelled. You might be able to get away with it if you phone Virgin and ask them to put you back on the 0% as it was a first offence.

yea lots of similar stories on here! good luck and remember to be polite, it was your fault after all - so bear that in mind and don't get smart or they will refuse.

Plead would be a good word.....

    Be polite.
Not because it was your fault, which it was,
but because it is the right thing to do.

i had this my husband who i am in the process of divorcing cancelled all the direct debits so the payment was cancelled by the time i realised i was 5 days late oaying via the net.

I rang them up explained what had happened. I was polite and they told me i would have to pay interest that one month then it would go back to 0% again.

So you need to ring them up and apologise then at the same time ask to set up a direct debit forthe minimum payments.

    Hope this helps
