TBH its very unusual to get cheap tickets on a Fri and Sat night. If you hold out offers may start appearing for sister act, depending how well it does, a few offers are starting to appear for Billy Elliott but most of these are Mon-Fri or Mon to Thurs. Keep an eye on theatremonkey.co.uk for the latest special offers and good luck!

you can try eBay. But those are both popular shows on popular dates so you are unlikely to get a discount unless you are entitled to a concession.

Sister Act currently do day seats at £25 each. They tend to be on the front row of the stalls. You have to queue up at the box office on the day in question and they are allocated on a first come first served basis. Currently it's not too difficult to get them as it is still previewing but by August it may be harder as by then it will have been reviewed everywhere. It is currently proving to be a very popular ticket in the West End so you may do well to simply buy the cheapest seats available for that night (£17.50 for upper circle according to SEE Tickets) because the cheapest seats will be snapped up first.

It's also worth checking the Sister Act website as shows tend to promote offers from time to time on their own sites. However, I think it's only a very slim possibility that any offers will be available that bank holiday weekend so I would advise you to book up the cheap seats now and have done with it.
Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...

Thanks, I think I'll take your advice and book the £17.50 tickets, I just noticed it's actually on at the palladium we went there a few years back to see chitty chitty bang bang, we actually left during the internval due to the seats being so uncomfortable, the seating was the tight my knees were almost in my stomach :rotfl:

the £17.50 seats will be in the upper circle which is high up and with limited leg room. if you left during chitty chitty bang bang surely you'd be safer upgrading to a more expensive seat?

https://www.theatremonkey.com is the place to get reviews on seats in london theatres. they will tell you what is worth buying and what leg room and the view is like etc.

i think i've narrowed it down to centre isle over blocks 9anyone know if i'm right) if so i just need to find th best rows

If you phone for tickets you'll find the staff very helpful - they'll advise you on which upper circle ones are where.

I think it's been mentioned on a thread here in the recent past that you can try phoning up the box office for billy Elliot and ask if they have any tickets for the front two rows of the stalls - apparently they're classed as 'restricted view' because they are eye level to the stage, and therefore cheap, but several people here have said that they're actually fine........

Billy elliot do dayseats similar to sister act.
Its also on TKTS at £38 for on the day or Advance, so could try on friday for a sat ticket. Its a bit pot luck where you are seated.

With Sister act the high up seats and the close up seats are restricted view due to the staging.

Theatre monkey do 2 views of each seating plan, one with good/bad seats one with price levels which may be more helpful.
