Why did i need to reactivate windows xp?

Just curious, I turned on the computer today and got a message along the lines of "Your computer has changed significantly since you first activated windows,you now have 3 days to reactivate" I reactivated and all is ok, but I only did a fresh install of XP 2 weeks ago and nothing had changed.

Im really not sure but a few people have posted this. Are AUTO UPDATES on? If so im under the impression that the WGA (Windows Genuine Authentification) prog installs automatically and theyve changed the way it works.:idea:0

Maybe XP3, IE7 or IE8 has installed itself. They all seem to have their own update idiosyncrasies.0
