I do not know a lot about these radios.

I started another thread recently about a radio for my father.

Am I correct in assuming that I can plug this type of radio into my PC and listen to the radio via headphones?

Also can you listen to stations on MW for example TalkSport?

Or should I be buying another type of radio in order to achieve this?

the radios mentioned in this thread pick up radio stations by using an internet connction so you dont plug the radio into the computer, you just need a wireless router for it to work, maybe a DAB radio is best for you but as to how good they are i dont know

@socrates - if you already have an internet connect computer, you can pick up all BBC stations and Talksport with no extra equipment needed. just Google the station name and look for the Listen Live link.

OR... a DAB radio can pick up Talksport on DAB so MW not needed.

I tried listening live - the plug-ins do not seem to work on my PC for some reason.

Edit: The plug in just loaded and it works!!

when you say the plugins dont work do you mean the station doesnt play
