Knocking through to other reception room?

Could someone give me a ball park figure for knocking through between the reception rooms and putting in doors? This is a typical 30's semi.
Also, is it possible to have the doors open back onto the wall, or do you have to have sliding doors?
Thanks

Not sure with a price on the knock through, but for the doors to open right back against the wall you need some parliament hinges like THESE.
They move the pivot point out so the doors clear the frame and architrave.0 -
