The plan for Hump Day (If you want an explanation read the Payment a Day Thread - that's my advert for the day:rotfl:)

    1. Scratchcards
    2. Check banking and do PAD
    3. Send transfer to Lanzarote
    4. Carry on with reports:mad:
    5. Sort out Halifax Accounts
    6. Go on Wii (unlike yesterday:o)
    7. Look at Stuart's spreadsheet
    8. Renew Owners Direct Advert

That will do hopefully it will go better than yesterday

    Villa in Lanzarote

It has stopped raining here now but still very windy.

Sorry about the baby but they soon bounce back even if we take a bit longer to recover from their illnesses. My baby is just back from contact with her Dad. No school run this week as the kids are on half term:j. The little ones will be doing afternoons as from next week until July bit of a pain really because by the time you drop them off there is no time to do anything before they need picking up again  . There were doing 3 days at a private kindergarten but funds are too tight for that now.

I did most things except the wii :o my excuse agreed to go and see a film with OS although in the end it was sold out so just had an ice cream instead
Will do better once half term over and proper routine is back.
The Halifax online was really disappointing the main reason why I did it was for the mortgage and all it shows is total owed and that I can borrow another £120K:eek: and can have a 6 month payment holiday - uh thank you but no. I wanted to see transactions and interest so that I can fiddle with the figures:D. So note to self when I remortgage to find one that is not only more flexible than what we have now but also one that is properly on line. Any suggestions?

Right I know I am late starting today -but half term means there is no routine that's my excuse so I am not going to get a lot done today.

    1. Scratchcards
    2. Check internet banking and do PAD
    3. Renew car tax
    4. Do more reports
    5. Buy paper and envelopes for reports
I am not going to mention the wii today on my list and you never know I might surprise myself.:D

Just opened my post - we are lucky if it arrives this early:mad:

Statement from the Halifax card that I cleared had to pay 44p trailing interest last month which I had expected but this month my balance is interest of 1p so they are going to take a DD for 1p and have sent me a statement to tell me that and now next month they will have to send me another statement to say the balance is 0 - no wonder they can't make money is this really cost effective?

Checked banking and my Egg money is in mixed feelings part of me wished it would have come in next week because we have to do half yearly figs to Hypno by end of May for the Christmas challenge and mine will have just gone backwards. But at least that means I can pay off my other Halifax card need to work out how much as I have made some PADs recently and then no doubt we will start the silly statements for interest for that card

    Lunch beckons I think.

Hi DT ... if you've planned for the Egg money coming in, which I know you have, can't you take off the money you're going to pay off with it? Weren't you going to pay something off straight away instead of putting it by to pay off at the end of a 0% deal? Or am I really really bonkers?

Part of it is going to be used to pay off another card but the rest is to bolster up the budget due to an overspend on the car fund  and the fact that my cooker has packed up and will have to be replaced  so my debt will increase:o but at least all CC debt will now be at 0%:j

This is a copy of my post on the pay off £xK by Christmas 2009 thread

    Ok Confession time
    Good News
My Egg money arrived in my account today
I paid off my second Halifax Credit Card

    Bad News

My total debt has gone up by £5582.96
Have had a pay cut of £15K

The reason for debt going up being overspend on car budget  Cooker packing up and the fact that due to the pay cut I would not have been able to clear my HSBC 0% Card which ends in October. So I decided to take the Egg money I was hoping it would come in next week so I wouldn't have to include it in my half year figures;).

The result however is that all my CC debt is now at 0% saving me at its highest £830 interest per month  (actually it would have been more than that because pre LBM I had actually cleared £20K off the CCs. I can't believe we had so much debt:o).

I have updated my sig if we hadn't bought the car my paid off figure would have been great  as it goes I am not going to make the challenge this year but I calculate it should be around the £30K mark so not too bad all things considered

So my total so far for this challenge is £11,180.49. It is not likley to change before the end of the month now so that is my half yearly report.
