  • It has actually stopped raining and I can see some blue sky :j:j:j

Was beginning to think I needed to start building an ark

Nothing in or out of the bank today so just done a rounding down of the bank PAD of £13 something but forgot what the something is - memory is like a sieve these days - its old age you know

Plan for today get the BT sorted.

Did some bank of the envelope calculations yesterday while waiting for OS to come out of the dentists not looking good due to the money we have had to spend on the house in Lanzarote and OS needing things to start life in Uni so another tight two months coming up until payday - so nothing new there  do so wish we were paid monthly

My two ready easier than I expected today as we went out last night to belatedly celebrate the Maxi DTs exam results nice meal - went to the winner of the best curry restaurant in Wales - baby was not amused though and a bit cranky they changed the time of her contact yesterday so she was out of routine.

Back of envelope calculations are good, though, because it means you are keeping your eye on things and not doing the head in the sand stuff.......

Good news on the blue sky!!

I have done the BT using OH's Capital One card to pay off my HSBC there was enough limit to clear it so I will during this month pay the balance in my 0% fund off OH MBNA card which will be in excess of the BT fee I have just paid so the debt will reduce not increase which is always good.

MBNA card is the next to tackle as it has a balance in excess of 20K and the 0% runs out in December I want to reduce the balance as much as possible before then but I have a number of empty cards I can probably get a 0% deal on and once that is cleared/or BT I want to start closing some cards.

Between us we have 10 cards

M&S I use for regular monthly shopping and pay off to get vouchers for Christmas - Limit £11300
Tesco - Nil balance Limit £4900
Halifax One - Nil balance Limit £5950
Halifax Plat - Nil balance Limit £14250
HSBC - Now nil balance Limit £10000

Mint Balance £5368.50 Limit £6330 0% ends May 2010 (this was a 0% fee offer too so free money for 12 months)
    MBNA Balance £20,632.50 Limit £22100 0% ends Dec 2009
    Egg Balance £11051.48 Limit £11600 0% ends June 2010
    Citibank Balance £3776.59 Limit £5000 0% ends Jan 2010
Capital One after BT £5862.82 Limit £6000 ends Sep 2010

    Already closed
    Marbles, Goldfish, OHs HSBC, Virgin.

£97430 I have just calculated is our potential CC debt  and that is after closing 4 cards - is it any wonder people get into debt when these sort of limits are available.

    More bingo :D

Want to work in the garden as it is not actually raining and it is a jungle out there but we have had so much rain the grass is too wet to cut so a bit of minor tidying of the beds is all that is likely to happen.

Other than that nothing planned this weekend.

Hope you are OK and that despite all the problems you are looking after yourself it is you and the baby that are most important. After all you are an adopted quad so I shall be a cyber aunty soon :rotfl::rotfl:
