  • [STRIKE] Morning[/STRIKE]oops afternoon folks -I had a huge lie in needed a catch up been feeling really tired

Thought I had better have a catch up on here too

Tooth was fixed looks better than it did before so that was a huge relief and it was only £62 so that was not too bad

Christmas was good we took it slow as all the littlies were under the weather with cough and colds

We had the starters for breakfast at about 10.30 - main course at 5pm (followed by watching Dr. Who) and we are having the puddings today:D pots of gold went down well myself and OS didn't win anything but everyone else had a small win OD had two. Found some trivia cards instead of jokes so we all learnt something too.

It was a lovely day got some nice pressies including a bath pillow so my favourite place to cogitate will be even more comfy:j

OH got me a pot of dreams far too pretty to smash so I will use it for £2 coins and I will get them out with a knife somehow when its full - its going towards my house refurb fund - OH was shocked that you were supposed to smash it he hadn't realised:rolleyes:

No idea what is going to happen on the debt front this year going to put the Lanzarote villa up for sale straight after New Year so it will depend on when it sells and how much for - may not be 2010 who can tell:confused: so going to keep chipping away at the debt so that when it does sell I will have more available for my major building project which we have decided to do rather than move house -I am excited about that we need to get an architect in for some ideas as I want to move the stairs and we have rather thick walls so it will be quite a project - I fancy asking George Clarke off the TV I really like his projects - I really like him too:o

We have decided to replace the cooker we have been struggling with ours for so long only one oven working and that has to be on highest setting for longer than normally required most of the burners won't light so for stage 1 of the refurb we are buying a stainless steel range cooker with an induction hob so it will be nice and easy to clean that with my fab Maytag Fridge Freezer which I bought about 2 years ago and I still love it will be the basis of our new kitchen :T

A small beginning but at least we have a plan.

The other thing a very kind friend bought me a replacement bottom case for my laptop it got broken when it was dropped in Security in Entebbe airport so my laptop will look as good as new as soon as I work at how to fit it - that was a real surprise and unexpected - also going to treat myself to a new battery with my christmas money from my Mom so I will be fully functional again :j:j

Have decided to switch all normal monthly shopping to Tesco's clubcard rather than M&S so we can get extra clubcard vouchers it is our silver wedding anniversary in November 2010 and we have decided to take a trip to Italy so want to pay for it with Tesco vouchers I already have quite a few so need to find out how many we will need never looked at spending them on a holiday before - excited about that too so something to look forward to.

Have a great day folks don't spend too much in the sales:D

You sound as though you have had a lovely time so far DT! Only Mil and Fil won on our scratchcards at the dinner table......but mil got 5 yes 5 winning lines out of a total of 8 on her card!!!!

Only £2 each win, but it was certainly more exciting than a paper hat that falls over your eyes because it is "one size fits all" :o

I like the sound of the plan DT!
Though I have to say I prefer Kevin McCloud to George! :D :rotfl:
I love what George does to the houses on The Home Show - you should apply - I'm sure C4 stump up some of the cash

Enjoy the rest of the holiday x

I've thought about it but I would want a proper job done not one that was rushed to fit in with TV programming although cash could be an incentive.

I like Kevin McCloud too and if I had been builidng a new house which we did consider he would have been on my list.

Are you able to access farmville properly I can't get into my ribbons, market or gift box?

Ooh if you do a big enough renovation you could get Kevin to come and discuss the merits of your architecture....
